Rebuilding after Ike
Friday, September 19, 2008, 07:28 AM - No TV Day, News
The fish sits quiet at my house. No power to speak of since Ike danced the two step over Houston and Galveston and places beyond. We left and got safe then ran back to see what was left. Ike was at least nice enough to give us a cool breeze to clean the air and give us some weather to work with. It also made sleeping easy without power.

And I'm out

And with that we're on the backup. I'll be back as soon as the storm is gone.. I hope.

Run Like Rabbit (server status)
Thursday, September 11, 2008, 03:39 AM - Work, Email, News, Family
With Ike on the way to Houston and my house where evil-fish lives. I've rerouted all mail to my dedicated server that's in a secured location. Unfortunately it is still in Houston but it has a better chance of staying online if I bug out and have to run (in the most manly fashion known). So your current email should work if you use a client. I copied over email aliases and passwords so they should just work if you use mail.evil-fish.net as your host. If you find that you're missing something for the time being you can use evil-fish.net as mail server addresses but this will stop working if I go offline. Which seems like a when more than an if at this time.

Before I leave I will be re-routing the rest of my hosts to the server including this page. I hope to update it as I can.

If you don't use mail.evil-fish.net you will get the old mail server

Lots of SSH Attack Traffic
Monday, August 18, 2008, 09:57 PM - News
Alright so why the Galaga ship? No real reason really. I can't show you what an SSH password attack is going to look like from a few dozen bots attacking the fish as we speak (or I type rather). I wrote a little script to hunt them down and lock them out. I was doing it every hour, now I'm doing it every minute.

You wouldn't happen to have Dan Aykroyd's email address would you?

So last night I get the idea and I don't know why I've never thought of it. I was playing Rock Band at my brothers and he was returning some of my DVD's and it hit me. THE BAND! A House of Blues inspired music game. What better way to get some of this classic blues into the houses of America. Between the music that I've seen that was recorded they had plenty of music for a first game and I'm sure it's grown with the rest of the stuff that's come along since then.
